Carlos Fabián Villa is a Concept Artist and Illustrator from Hermosillo, Mexico with 7 years of experience in the industry.
He has worked with some of the most influential video game and animation studios in Mexico, like Kaxan Games and Metacube technology as a Senior Concept Artist and Art Director, and now he dedicates his time exploring his creative side for external clients from all over the world, working on cinema and videogame projects. Some of his recent clients include :DeNa (Hellfire: The Summoning) and Movyl Entertainment.
The influences are varied, mostly classic and contemporary art like Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, muralists like Jorge González Camarena, comic artists like Juan José Guarnido and digital artists like Marco Djurdevic. He is also a huge sci-fi, western and fantasy fan, and an avid gamer.
Carlos won 1st Place on the 2012 edition of the Illustrators Deathmach event in Querétaro, México and has been Graphic Design, Concept Art and Storyboard teacher for the renowed mexican university Tec de Monterrey. Being also a speaker at conferences, he travels around the country showing his work and inspiring young artists.
