In Peru there are more than 30 companies dedicated to creating video games, so it has become an innovative business in this technological age. They are based in Arequipa, Iquitos, Cusco and Lima backed by the Peruvian Association of Video Games and Animation (APDEVA).
One of the most important companies is based in Cusco and it’s called Pacha Studio. They are working on “Robotrash” a video game whose characters are made with materials found in the trash, then – with pieces collected- they create real robots which are later brought to the screen, digitized and animated.
In Lima, is based ArtiGames with more than ten years of experience in the market. The talents of this pioneer company are developing a video game inspired by the beautiful scenarios from Cusco. From Sacsayhuaman, the Plaza de Armas and the very Machu Picchu, among other landscapes.
The aim of the APDEVA is to achieve a strong position for the Peruvian industry not only in Latin America but globally, achieving medium-term recognition to same extent as the great markets in the matter as the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom and Finland, developing, producing and distributing quality games.
